About Claudia: Hey! I’m Claudia. I’m a yoga instructor, personal trainer, and Holistic Intuitive Practitioner from upstate New York. I started practicing yoga in my early teens when my older sister was going through her teacher training. I remember the beginning of my yoga journey as an immediate captivation. Instantly, I was absorbed by this new world of movement and how it shifted my inner environment. The mat became a place of devotion and curiosity. It became a place of softness and grit. It became a place of healing the past just as much as a landing point to declutter the days to come. When I started strength training, the gym began to possess these same qualities. Movement has become a crucial part of my life. I have fallen in love with challenging both my body and mind. The tenacity I had in the gym along with the quietness I was able to achieve on my mat provided me with the tools I needed to combat life with greater ease when I was faced with both serious trauma and every day conflict. I truly believe finding a modeof exercise, great or small, should be a priority in anyone’s life.
Why Claudia started practicing and became an Instructor: I received my 200 hour teacher training from Happy Buddha Yoga in Goshen, NY. I was 17 and at the end of my senior year of high school. I was extremely fortunate to have teachers who were both traditional and explorative. This was a wildly transformative time for me. I was working through trauma and to have movement and meditation as a therapeutic outlet, especially so young, was a saving grace. I was, and still am, passionate about sharing these tools with others to walk through life with an increased sense of grace and ease. In college, my interest for health deepened when I discovered weight training. I was studying art and photography at the time and began to hit confusion in my course of direction as I was falling deeper in love with movement and wellness. I decided to take time to dive in and gain knowledge in the wellness field. I completed my personal training certification in 2020 and most recently completed my Holistic Intuitive Practitioner (HIP) certification. As an HIP, I work to find the root cause of stress and imbalance in the body through biofeedback.
What inspires Claudia off the mat: I am inspired by truth or in yoga, satya. Satya meaning truthfulness. This goes deeper than simply telling the truth to others. Truth, to me, means refinement. Removing the excess in order to get to authenticity. This can be in the mind, in relationship, in health, in conversation, etc. Satya means honoring the natural world around us and tuning into the organic ebb and flow, as this is the very core of us all. I am inspired by allowing truth to shine through all beings (self included) and tuning into the truth that the body has to offer- our intuition.
A note from Claudia: I teach a strong vinyasa flow that weaves together both masculine and feminine energy for a class that allows room for discipline, exploration, and release.
