Brittany Davis
Lakshmi Rising 200 hr. YTT - Vinyasa - Kids Yoga - Yin - Meditation
From: Wading River, NY
Why Brittany started practicing and became an Instructor: My passion for yoga began 12 years ago as a student and soon became a beautiful part of me. As a college athlete I endured multiple injuries, surgeries, and mental setbacks. When I found yoga it not only healed my body but was a consistent aid in healing my mind. Yoga has created an everlasting journey of self love and discovery within myself. Each time I step onto the mat I immediately feel connected to myself both physically and mentally. Summer 2021 I traveled to Costa Rica for an immersive experience to become a certified yoga teacher. This training was important to not only deepen my practice but to learn how to safely and creatively challenge others on their mat. Being immersed into a program in another country for a month was a life changing experience. The tips, tools, and knowledge I learned at Lakshmi Rising have allowed me to guide classes for others in vinyasa, hatha, yin, meditation, mindfulness, and wellness.
About Brittany: This love I found for yoga as a student quickly transformed into the desire to help others discover the best versions of themselves and I began teaching yoga in schools for students and athletes of all ages. I am a high school physical education teacher and infusing yoga into the curriculum has been so unbelievably beautiful. Creating and holding space for individuals to navigate their own bodies in a mindful way is magic.
What inspires Brittany off the mat: Grounding myself in nature, experiencing life with friends and making memories. Helping others. Volunteering for the special needs community
A note from Brittany: My classes are centered around challenging the body and mind. While physically challenging, I emphasize the importance of finding the balance between honoring the body and finding new limits every practice. My hope is that my classes will always bring you something you can take off your mat and into your life to live with more self acceptance, self love, and peace.
